The game features a lot of firearms and explosives, but it also introduces a wider range of melee weapons than the ones present in previous titles of the franchise. On the gameplay side, Far Cry 5 is a first-person shooter set in an open world that makes good use of some systems used on previous Far Cry titles, featuring a "Guns for Hire" system and a "Fangs for Hire" system that allows you to recruit locals and tame animals respectively, to fight alongside you. When things go awry and some of your colleagues die you will have to resort to other means to put an end to the cult. A task force has been sent to Hope County to arrest Joseph Seeds, and you will take on the role of a sheriff's deputy that is part of it. Those have formed a sort of resistance movement that aims to take back Hope County from the hands of Eden's Gate, getting rid of the Seeds and their influence once and for all. Eden's Gate coercive, violent and manipulative methods have led to an armed conflict with the residents that do not form part of Eden's Gate. Aided by his siblings, Seed has managed to forcibly convert a good deal of the residents, effectively taking control of Hope County. This congregation turns out to be a militaristic doomsday cult whose members believe that the cult will provide them salvation when "The Collapse" puts an end to the world. This time the action moves to Hope County, a fictional region in Montana where the priest Joseph Seed is the leader of The Project at Eden's Gate. You can count Far Cry series between them, and this mainly is because its titles feature a good deal of innovation, an interesting story, a lot of freedom and a solid gameplay among other good qualities. And while putting in more stuff players will enjoy, you can also play a richer, larger and advanced version of the Far Cry franchise.Not many franchises manage to get a fifth installment without a good reason.
